Prof. Israel Olatunji Orubuloye,OON
Prof. Israel Olatunji Orubuloye,OON a former Vice-Chancellor, University of Ado - Ekiti (now Ekiti State University, Ado - Ekiti). He is a Professor of Sociology at the College of Social and Management Sciences, Afe Babalola University, Ado - Ekiti (ABUAD) Nigeria. He is also a member of Board of Trustees, Council and Senate of the University. Prof Orubuloye has taught Sociology and Demography for over 40 years in Nigeria and Overseas Universities. He has consulted for many national and international organizations on population and health related issues including United Nations Population Divisions, the World Bank Population Division, the Rockefeller Foundation, the World Health Organization, Battelle Memorial Institute, Washington, D.C. He is a National Award winner in the category of the Officer of the Order of Niger (OON), etc. He pioneered research on the Behavioural Context of HIV/AIDS in Africa. He has a wide administrative experience in the University system spanning a period of more than three decades as Dean, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Acting Vice-Chancellor and finally Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ado - Ekiti (now Ekiti State University) where he retired in 2008. He is currently the Chairman of the Planning and Implementation Committee of Afe Babalola University, Ado - Ekiti, the Chairman of Accreditation and Quality Assurance.
