A 14-man team from Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) led by its Chairman, Hon. Justice Emmanuel Olayinka Ayoola (Rtd) visited Afe Babalola University Ado Ekiti to see first-hand the positive contributions of the founder Aare Afe Babalola, SAN to the development of education in Nigeria. The team were thoroughly awed by the enormity of the state-of-the-art infrastructure and equipment in the University. Expressing his joy and satisfaction with what he saw Justice Ayoola said that “this is an institution which can stand side by side with any educational institution. What we have seen here compares favourably with what we have seen in other parts of the world. This is a pace setter. It raises the benchmark for quality education Nigeria. It is a challenge to everybody. Aare Afe Babalola has not invested in himself but invested in the future of Nigeria. I think he is worth celebrating… The infrastructure, teaching materials provided and philosophy of education practiced in ABUAD show the way to qualitative and transformatory education that Nigeria needs. There is no doubt that the shaping of the direction of education in Nigeria has started. ABUAD is and will remain a leader in this direction”.
