Afe Babalola University (ABUAD) situated in Ado Ekiti is a non-profit, Federal Government licensed private University.
Philosophy and Mission: To reform and provide functional education by example and lead others in quality education, industry, service, character and discipline.
Approval: All programmes offered in colleges of Law, Engineering, Medicine, Social and Management Sciences and Sciences have been approved by the National Universities Commission.

Five O’ Level Credits passes to include English Language, Lit. in English and Mathematics at one sitting.

For Medicine and Surgery and Nursing Science, Candidates must possess a minimum of five O’ level credit passes at one sitting including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
Others: A minimum of five O’ level credit passes at one sitting or six O’ level credit passes at two sittings including the above listed subjects.

(7) IMPORTANT INFORMATION
CHANGE OF INSTITUTION
I. Candidates who did not choose Afe-Babalola University (ABUAD) in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are also qualified to participate in the Post UTME screening of the University. Such Candidates should contact the Registrar for more information.
II. Admission into ABUAD for Non Direct Entry Candidates is subject to successful passing of the UTME examination and the Post-UTME screening.
III. Candidates awaiting SSCE results or it’s equivalent can also apply for admission provided the result will be available at resumption in September, 2014.
DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Apart from UTME, Direct Entry admission is also available for all courses listed below except Medicine and Surgery, and Nursing Science.
1. At least Two ‘A’ level passes chosen from subjects relevant to course of study OR
2. NCE/OND/HND in related fields.
3. HND Conversion to degree takes 2-3 years depending on the programme.
