History of Academic Planning Unit in Nigeria
Academic Planning Unit in Nigerian Universities was established in the early 1980s by National Universities Commission (NUC) with the main objective of coordinating the academic programmes in the universities to enhance growth and development and streamline programmes to avoid duplication of courses and inefficient utilization of resources.
Functions of the Unit:
Establishment of ABUAD Academic Planning Unit
ABUAD commenced academic programmes on the 4th of January 2010 and its Academic Planning Unit was established in March 2010.
Structure of the ABUAD Academic Planning Unit
The unit is domiciled in the Office of the Vice Chancellor as enshrined in the ABUAD academic Brief.
