A Lecturer in College of Law, Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti,(ABUAD) who is also the Seminar Coordinator College Examination Officer of the College, Mr. Oyeniyi Abe, has been selected among the scholars and cognoscente who will brainstorm on the developments, strategies and new possibilities in addressing various developmental needs of Africa.
The conference is scheduled to take place between 25th to 27th of June, 2013, at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Nairobi, Kenya, will feature top-level speakers, diplomats and distinguished academics from various countries of the world. Some of them include: Prof. Onaiwu Ogbomo, Western Michigan University, USA; Osaak Ollumwullah, Miami University, USA; Prof. Shaukat A. Abdulrazak from the National Commission of Science and Technology (NCST); Prof. Pascahal Mihyo, OSSREA, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; Prof. Judith Mbula Bahemuka, Chancellor, University of Eldoret, Kenya, among others.
Oyeniyi Abe is expected to make a presentation on “Sustaining the Utilization of Natural Resources in Nigeria through Responsible Use of the Environment: Human Rights Considerations.” His presentation will highlight some of the outlined sub-topics on culpability of advanced countries for environmental degradation, remedies for environmental degradation and environmental justice and right to environment-related litigation in Nigeria.
Oyeniyi Abe, an avowed believer in the trail-blazing philosophy of ABUAD, will use the opportunity to speak on the various steps ABUAD has taken in harnessing both human and natural resources in Nigeria through Agriculture and Education for sustainable development.
