The Founder and President emeritus of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, Aare Afe Babalola has been described as a stickler for high standard and discipline in the pursuit of all his goals.
Venerable Oladipo gave the description whole delivering a sermon marking the end of the 3rd Founders Day Anniversary of ABUAD on Sunday 26th Feb., 2012 at the Owolabi Hall in the University.
He said ABUAD’s success was not a surprise to him, adding “where others see obstacles Aare sees opportunities, where others see stumbling blocks, he sees stepping stones.
The Cleric therefore congratulated him for the success of the Founder Day and urged all Nigerians to support the laudable vision. He called on all citizens to be more prayerful particularly now that the country is facing many security threats.
The Founder, Aare Afe Babalola, SAN, also expressed his appreciation to all the members of Staff and Students for making this years Founder’s Week a huge success. He thanked both the choir and the drama groups for their exemplary displays which were true representations of ABUAD community that parades quality education and good character.
Dignitaries present at the thanksgiving service were the Founder, Aare Afe Babalola, SAN, his wife, Yeye Modupe Babalola, the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Oba [Dr.] Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III and the Eyesorun of Ado-Ekiti, Olori Bosede Adejugbe. Others are top management team of the University by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sidi Osho.
