CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2023 CLASS OF ABUAD MEDICAL DOCTORS -PROFESSOR E.S. OLARINDE
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor E. Smaranda Olarinde, on Monday said that all-necessary support would be made available to the medical students as they evolve into thorough-breed professionals. She made this disclosure during the newly graduated medical students’ Induction Ceremony by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN). The memorable event took place at the Alfa Belgore Hall of the university and was well attended by parents well-wishers, staff and students. She proudly stated that the 5th Induction Ceremony is spectacular as this set recorded hundred percent success at their final examinations. She enjoined the students to adhere to all that their lecturers, Consultants and all trainers have laboured to infuse into them over the years. While congratulating them she stated that the professional physician’s work to the top has just begun.
The Vice-Chancellor specified that the support given to the students was made possible because of the great vision of the Founder and Chancellor, Aare Afe Emmanuel Babalola, the determination of students, the sacrifices of their parents and the dedication of their teachers whom all benefited from the facilities of the University’s Multisystem Hospital, its ultra-modern equipment and beautiful, conducive environment of the University. While thanking the students for making their parents, lecturers and the school proud, she admonished them that the task ahead calls for increased devotion to duty, determination and industry, which are not strange values to them having passed through Afe Babalola University.
Speaking at the induction ceremony which, had eminent Nigerians in attendance, she stated that the university will continue to graduate qualified, competent, ethically conscious and dedicated medical professionals into Nigeria and the entire world. She added that “I am proud of the mentorship you have received during your years of training, which has culminated in 22 of you having distinctions at various levels of your professional examinations”. She acknowledged the outstanding performance of Miss Okafor Ginika Stephanie who graduated as the best student in her set with 8 Distinctions.
Professor Olarinde, thanked the Founder and Chancellor for his unparalleled leadership, unmatched support and visionary inspiration which were evidenced in the enviable success recorded by the freshly inducted ABUAD medical doctor.
