Lady Christie Iyabode Oluborode, ABUAD pioneer Registrar was educated at the University of Ibadan where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in History in 1981. She began her career in Education administration in 1983 as Education Officer in Oyo State Civil Service, rising through the ranks to become Deputy Director.
Lady Christie Oluborode had attended conferences/workshops/seminars organized by reputable institutions such as Committee of Registrars of Nigerian Universities (CORNU), National Universities Commission and the Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria among others.
She is a member of such Professional Associations as the Institute of Strategic Management Nigerian (ISMN) and Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).
Lady Christie has some awards to her credit. They include: Award of Excellence, Afe Babalola University (2013), Distinguished Merit Award, Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo and Merit Award by Lead City University, Ibadan. A Knight of St. Mary of the African Church, Ijesa Diocese, Mrs Oluborode has a strong belief in the efficacy of hard work and truth. Her regal and motherly mien has endeared her to all and sundry. A trailblazer and a pathfinder, she is a lesson in resourcefulness and professionalism with an impressive personality in and out of the boardroom.
Here at Afe Babalola University, she is a beacon of light and hope to the hopeless. A veritable inspiration to womenfolk, she has given meaning to the aphorism that what a man can do, a woman can do it better.
Married with children, Lady Christie enjoys reading, music and charity.
